Refund policy

At Sand and Storm, each piece is handcrafted with care and inspected before dispatch. We hope you love your purchase, but please read our returns policy carefully before ordering.

Returns:

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for eligible items only. 

To be eligible, the item(s) must be:

  • Unworn and in its original packaging
  • Free from signs of wear, damage or alteration
  • Accompanied by proof of purchase

Please note:

  • Earrings and customized pieces are non-returnable for hygiene reasons. 
  • Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless the item is faulty.

To start a return, please contact us at info@sandandstorm.co.uk with your order number and reason for return, or alternatively, fill out our contact form on the website. We aim to reply within 1-2 business days

Refunds:

Once your return is received and inspected, we'll notify you via email. If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5-10 business days

We reserve the right to refuse a refund if the item does not meet our conditions. 

Faulty or damaged items:

We carefully inspect each piece before it leaves us, but if your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@sandandstorm.co.uk with your order numbers and clear photos of the issue. 

Please note:

  • Normal wear and tear, including minor scratches or fading from regular use is not considered a fault. 
  • We cannot be held responsible for damage caused by misuse, improper care, or exposure to water, perfume or chemicals. 

Return process for faulty items:

  • We will send you a prepaid return label
  • The cost of the label will not be deducted from your refund (your legal right)
  • Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund within 5–10 business days

If your claim is approved, we'll arrange a replacement (subject to stock availability) or a refund to your original payment method. 

Exchanges:

At this time, we do not offer direct exchanges. 

Change of mind returns:

We do not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • change of mind
  • unwanted gifts
  • incorrect size/colour choice

This is permitted by UK law when selling earrings due to hygiene regulations, provided the customer is informed before purchase — which this policy ensures.
